On Tuesday July 29,2008 my 22 year old son was seriously injured in an atv accident,he was in serious condition at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira N.Y. on the Morning of 8/1/08 he was upgraded and moved from Intensive care and in conversation pleaded with me to carry out my fundraiser event that night as he has been a great help in all the past projects. Later that evening Derek developed complications and was placed back in ICU . On August 7th Derek was released from the hospital and is resting at home where he continues to recover. Thank You all for the many comments and concerns.

These are the words that were said by many on 8/01/08 at the "Racing for a reason" event at Blackrock Speedway in Dundee N.Y. The crowd was amazing and were not let down along with a normal card of exciting race action the Law Enforcement enduro event was nothing short of a crowd pleaser . Congratulations to the heat winners and to Sgt. Derek Blumbergs of the Yates Co. Sheriff's Office as he walked away with the feature win and a beautiful (3 foot tall) feature winner trophy "The Golden Doughnut Award" Thanks to all the law enforcement officials whom participated it was truly a night off for the "Good Guys & Girls. Thank you to everyone whom donated ,"Thank you" to all those who stepped up and helped me out to make this the most successful yet ! $3020.00 raised and donated "Thank you" to Dean Hoag and his crew at Blackrock Speedway "you guys are AWESOME" Congrats to those who won the raffle prizes! Thanks to those who donated the prizes ,without you this would not have been as successful and lastly "Thank you" to my family as this takes alot of time and late nights BUT $3,020.00 worth of phone cards will soon be in the hands of Americas Finest "OUR TROOPS" in Iraq who can use them to "PHONE HOME" GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brittney Jones whom was scheduled to perform at the 8/1/08 event at Blacrock Speedway was unable to appear. Just hours before the event was to begin Brittney's aunt suffered a heart attack and was treated in Syracuse N.Y. My thoughts are with her and her family.

Support our troops ford suffers some damage!

On the night of the fundraiser giveway infront of a sold out crowd the #12 Support our Troops Ford took to the track in a 30 lap $1000.00 to win enduro .On lap 1 an unexpected mechanical failure shut the car down in turn one and had to be removed from the track to the pit area where drivers and crew members from several teams came "RUNNING" to it's aid. After missing a few laps these guys had it running again and it returned to the track where it despite some serious damage it took when it collided with another driver (Racing incident) finished 10th ,however as it crossed the finish line the engine gave way and appears to be terminal. But it fought til the end just like our brave men and women soldiers abroad ! If anyone has or knows where a 2.3 l motor from a Ford Tempo or Topaz can be found please contact me Immediately as this car is not ready to give up fighting. I am currently in the 13th position in the points standing at www.blackrockspeedway.com and need to be on the track 0n 8/22/08 . Thank you so much to Dave Yehl,Chuck Winslow and the others that came to my aid !
