The first of three guest drivers has officially committed himself , representing the retired N.Y.S Troopers will hail from Horseheads N.Y. Mike "hot pursuit" Hess . Mike ( Sgt. 2008 Mall show a huge success
|
Posted: April 15, 2008 at 10:11 PM
Amazing ! that's about the only word I can use to describe it! over 1000 visitors stopped by to see my car and all military personnel "current or Veterans" we asked to sign my car (Name ,Rank ,Branch and years of service) and many did just that along with shared a few stories with me. The oldest was a WWII veteran of the U.S.Navy whom told me the story of how he barely escaped with his life when Pearl Harbor was attacked ,"None of my friends, not a damn one of them came home after that day" he told me and with a tear in his eye said "God Bless America and God Bless You" for once I was silent. Another young lady used the video feature on her cell phone to send her husband in Iraq a message of love and support from the drivers seat. And for you local sports fans Frank Littlejohn of the Elmira Jackals took time out and stopped by to show his support for the troops.
